Sales Pipelines
A board for the work you are trying to win. Every opportunity is a card, every column is a stage, and you can see what is in play at a glance.
Overview
Sales Pipelines gives you:
- A board per sales process, so a "New business" board and a "Renewals" board can have different stages.
- A card per opportunity, carrying the value, the contact and the company it belongs to.
- Drag between stages, with the move recorded so you can see how long things sit.
- A running total of open, won and lost value.
Make a board
Open Sales Pipelines in the sidebar and choose New pipeline. Give it a name that describes the process, not the team - "New business" is clearer than "Sales team 2".
There is no default board. You make the first one, which means the stages match how you actually sell rather than someone else's template.
Set your stages
A new board starts with a sensible set of stages that you can rename, reorder or delete. Keep them to the handful of steps a deal genuinely passes through - a board with twelve stages is a board nobody updates.
Two stages are special: the one you mark as won and the one you mark as lost. Deals that reach those stop counting as open.
Add a deal
Choose New deal on the board. You need a title; everything else is optional:
- Value - what the work is worth. This is what the board totals up.
- Contact - the person you are dealing with. Links the deal to their record so you can see it on their timeline.
- Company - the organisation, if you deal with more than one person there.
Move a deal along
Drag the card to the next column. The move is recorded, so the deal's history shows when it entered each stage and who moved it.
When a deal is done, move it to your won or lost stage rather than deleting it. Lost deals are the ones worth reading back later.
See what is in play
The board header totals the open value, the won value and the lost value. The same numbers feed the Reporting page, so you can see the pipeline alongside your contacts, quotes and email in one place.
Who can see what
Everyone with the Pipelines permission sees every board in the workspace - a pipeline is shared by design, so nobody is guessing what a colleague is working on. Managing boards and stages is a separate permission from adding and moving deals, so you can let the team run deals without letting them restructure the process.
Set both under Members & Access → Roles → Funnels and pipelines.
