AI Website Builder

Describe the website you want and the AI builds it while you watch - chat on the left, a live preview of your site on the right. Publish to a free secure URL in one click, or connect your own domain with a guided DNS setup.

What it is

The AI Website Builder gives you:

• A split-view workspace - your conversation with the AI on the left, a live preview of the site on the right.
• Multi-page static websites built and edited entirely from plain-language chat - no code, no drag-and-drop builder.
• A file viewer with full version history, so you can see exactly what changed and restore any earlier version.
• One-click publishing to a free secure URL, hosted on Vercel infrastructure with SSL included.
• Custom domain support with copy-paste DNS records and automatic SSL.
• The ability to embed other SoftSolz widgets (forms, chat, payments) into your generated site.

Create your first website

1. Website Builder → New website. Give it a name (e.g. "Studio site") - this is just its label in your workspace, not the public address.
2. Describe what you want in chat. Plain language works best: "A three-page site for a photography studio - home, portfolio, contact. Dark, minimal, with a large hero image." The AI builds a first version and the preview appears on the right.
3. Keep talking. The first version is a starting point - refine it in chat until it looks right.

Editing with chat

Every change is a chat message. Ask for anything: "make the header darker", "add a pricing page with three tiers", "swap the hero text and image". The AI edits the site and the preview updates.

• File chips - each AI reply shows small chips naming the files it created or changed (e.g. index.html, pricing.html). Click a chip to open that file in the file viewer.
• Iterate freely - every edit is saved as a version, so nothing is ever lost. If a change goes wrong, restore an earlier version (see below).
• View-only roles - members whose role only grants the view permission can open a website, read the chat, and browse the preview and files, but the message box and editing actions are disabled for them.

Preview

The right-hand pane always shows the current version of your site.

• Desktop / mobile toggle - switch the preview between a desktop and a phone-sized viewport to check how the site behaves on small screens.
• Open in new tab - open the preview full-size in its own browser tab, useful for clicking through the pages like a visitor would.

Files and version history

The Files view lists every file in your site. Open any file to read its contents.

Every AI edit creates a new version. The version history shows when each version was made and what prompted it. To roll back, pick a version and click Restore - the site (and the preview) return to exactly that state. Restoring creates a new version too, so you can always roll forward again.

Publishing

1. Click Publish. Your site goes live on a free secure URL, hosted on Vercel infrastructure. SSL is included - visitors always get https://.
2. Keep editing safely. Chat edits only change your working version - the published site stays as it was until you publish again.
3. Publish again to update. When you're happy with the changes, click Publish and the live site updates.

Connecting your own domain

The free URL works forever, but you can serve the site from a domain you own (e.g. www.example.com):

1. Open your website → Domains → Add. Type the domain you want to use, then click Add.
2. Copy the DNS records. We show you exactly which records to add - each with a copy button.
3. Paste them at your registrar - the place where you manage DNS, usually where you bought the domain (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, etc.). Add each record exactly as shown.
4. Click Check. We verify the records are in place. DNS changes can take a few minutes to propagate, so if the check fails at first, wait a little and try again.
5. Done. Once verified, your site is served from your domain and an SSL certificate is issued automatically - there is nothing to configure.

Embedding SoftSolz widgets

Your other SoftSolz services can live inside the generated site. Open your website and go to the Integrations tab:

1. Pick a service. Every connectable service is listed - Forms, Knowledge Hub chat, Payments, Newsletter, Blogs, Appointments and Customer Auth - whether or not you use it yet.
2. Click Connect. If the service is not in your workspace yet, it is added for you first. Every service is included in your plan, so there is nothing extra to buy.
3. Choose what to show - which form, signup card, payment button, booking link or knowledge base the widget uses - then confirm.
4. The AI places the widget on the page where it fits, and it renders live once published. Use Copy embed code if you also want it elsewhere, or the bin icon to take it off the site.

You can still paste an embed snippet into the chat by hand if you want it in a very specific spot.

Limits and AI credits

Two things are metered:

• Websites per plan - Free: 3 websites, Basic: 10, Growth: 25, Business: unlimited. Deleting a website frees a slot.
• AI credits - building and editing with chat uses AI, so each request draws from your plan's AI credits (the same pool the rest of the AI features use). If you run out for the billing cycle, editing pauses until the cycle resets or you upgrade. You can see usage on the Subscriptions page.

Permissions

Access is controlled per role in Team Management → Roles. The Website Builder has five permissions:

System roles get sensible defaults (admins get everything); custom roles can mix and match - e.g. a role that can edit but not publish.

Common changes & risks

• Editing after publishing - safe any time; the live site only changes when you publish again.
• Restoring a version - changes your working copy, not the published site, until you publish.
• Deleting a website - takes its published site offline and frees a plan slot. This cannot be undone.
• Removing a custom domain - the site falls back to its free URL; visitors using your domain will stop reaching it.
