Agency portal

Run your clients' SoftSolz workspaces from one place. Add a client, set them up, and work inside their workspace with the access they give you.

Overview

Every client has their own real SoftSolz workspace and pays for their own plan. The portal keeps all of them in one list, so you can jump between clients without signing out.

Set it up

On the sign-in page choose Set up an agency account, or open Workspace Settings in your current workspace and choose Work with clients. After that, signing in takes you straight to the portal. Your workspace in the top bar takes you back to your own workspace.

Add a client

  1. Choose New client.
  2. Pick Empty workspace to set everything up yourself, or Build their website first to have a preview site built from a template. See Website builds.
  3. The client gets a workspace on a free trial. You own it until the business takes it over.
You can have up to 10 clients that are not paying yet. Paying clients never count.

Your team

Everyone in your agency whose role includes Client work gets into every client. By default that is the agency owner, admins and account managers, but not team members. Change it in Members & Access in your own workspace.

Working inside a client

Choose Open workspace on a client. A bar across the top reminds you whose workspace you are in, and Back to agency takes you to the client's page in the portal. Everything you do there is recorded in the client's audit log.

Access levels

While you own a client's workspace, your team can do everything except delete it. Once the business owns it, your team has the access level you agreed.

You start with four levels, and can add your own in Settings:

LevelWhat your team can do
Full setupEverything a business can give an agency, including new services as they arrive.
MarketingContent, social, email, SEO, forms and contacts.
Website onlyThe website, its forms, blog and domain.
Read onlyLook at everything but change nothing.
A business can never give an agency their billing, deleting the workspace, managing their team's roles, connected AI apps or where their payments are paid out.

Ask for more access

On a client's Access section choose Ask for more access, tick what you need and say why. The business gets a notice and an email, and can allow all of it, part of it, or decline. You can ask again once they answer.

Ending an agreement

On a client's Agreement section, End agreement removes your team from their workspace. The business keeps everything. If you still own the workspace, hand it over first.

For businesses: My Agency

If an agency runs your workspace, My Agency in your sidebar shows who they are and who works on your account. From there, anyone who manages your team can:

The agency's people are labelled Agency on your Members page.
